Project Overview :

Refurbishment of the top floor of a heritage listed building and the addition of a new floor on top of this.

The building was fully tenanted during construction and all materials had to be lifted over three different nights with a 130-ton crane, which required the temporary closure of Kent Street.

With timber floors throughout the building, the major issue was ensuring that the rain did not affect the tenants below. Overhead protection was constructed on the seventh floor using needles which supported the required scaffold. A new staircase was constructed between the floors.
