“Pleiades Court” is a part three, part four-storey ‘Shop Top Housing’ development comprising of 116 m2 of commercial floor space and vehicle parking on the ground floor, and six apartments on the floors above.
The project will include the construction of a central circulation space that connects the building’s two primary volumes horizontally and vertically, all the way to the building’s rooftop communal area. This permeable circulation space features a lift, central staircase, and varied landscaping from floor to floor.
One of the existing properties has been identified as a contributory item within the Dulwich Hill Commercial Precinct Heritage Conservation Area. Consequently, a portion of the facade above the awning of No: 494 Marrickville Road has been targeted for retention and restoration.
