Construction Profile believe in using the right tool for the job, and our use of Giken’s Silent Piler at our Manly site is an example of this. This Japanese technology is relatively new to Australia; its use on our Twenty95 Manly project is the first on a building site.
Twenty95 Manly involves building within, around and on top of a live Telstra Exchange over the entire construction phase of the project. The site is also founded on mostly sand and has a very high water table when compared to the depth of the bulk-excavated level. These site features required a shoring method that generated minimal noise and vibration, and one which could efficiently control the ingress of large volumes of normally occurring groundwater at a great depth. The Giken Silent Piler was found to be just such a method after extensive research, liaison and design development by Construction Profile.
