Construction Profile has been invited to be a member of the development team for a mixed-use development right in the heart of Sydney’s Chinatown.
The proposed development is an adaptive re-use of a commercial building designed by the eminent architect, Harry Seidler, in the 1950s. The current design features 19 serviced apartments over 8 floors, retail tenancies on the ground floor and communal spaces in the building’s basement.
The existing building and surrounds pose significant challenges for the project. Together with the client’s consultants, Construction Profile will help identify and resolve the underlying risks (wherever possible) in an ECI-type arrangement. With significant experience in this procurement model, we are confident of being able to extract maximum value out of the intended development for the client. This will enable them to understand the viability of the project before proceeding to construction; and if the business plan ‘stacks up’, assist in obtaining project funding.
